Meet Dr. Jackson

Dr. Martha Jackson

Veterinarian

Dr. Martha Jackson is the owner and head veterinarian of Boquet Valley Veterinary Services. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. From a young age, she felt called to be a veterinarian and had a tremendous love for animals.

Dr. Jackson attended Washington State University for both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After completing her degree, she wanted to move back to the east coast to be closer to family.

She moved to the Adirondacks in 2017 and worked at Adirondack Veterinary Hospital as a mixed animal practitioner for a few years before deciding that she wanted to pursue large animal medicine exclusively. Thus Boquet Valley Veterinary Services was born! This transition has allowed her to focus on some of her specific veterinary passions: equine dentistry and herd health management.

When Dr. Jackson is not working with other people’s animals, she can be found riding her horses, Kozaa and Maddie, hiking with her dog, Asher, and basking in the beauty of the Adirondacks.

Kearstin Ashline

Assistant

Kearstin Ashline joined Boquet Valley Veterinary Services as a full time assistant in January of 2023. She grew up in Lewis, NY and has always had an intense love for animals. Kearstin has worked in many different roles in the past including as a Dental Assistant, Office Manager, and Pharmacy Technician. She is also certified in CPR/AED and State Infection Control. She has lived in the Adirondacks her whole life and is excited to learn and work hands on with Dr. Martha. Because of her previous history as a dental assistant, Kearstin shares Dr. Martha’s love of equine dentistry. When Kearstin is not working with Dr. Martha, you can find her riding the trails with her cowgirl friends & three horses Dexter, Shiloh, and Ginger or going on adventures with her dogs Ranger, Shadow, & Nova.
